Situated to the south-west of the province of Cádiz, on the Costa de la Luz coastline, Conil de la Frontera combines the beauty of the Sierra de Grazalema white towns and the charm of typical fishing towns on the coast. Slotted between the sierras and the sea 10 km inland and 200m high above the gorge of the River Barbate this hill town is a beautifully preserved example of a classic Andalucian town, declared a national monument in 1978. Vejer de la Frontera is located along the Costa de la Luz, within the province of Cadiz. It is a picturesque town perched high on a limestone headland.
