Torrox Costa

The village of Torrox is located 44 kilometres from Malaga, on the eastern coast of the province lying on a hillock running down to the Mediterranean sea and sheltered from the northern winds by the Sierra Tejeda and Almijara.

The annual average temperature is 18-28C, and there is no great temperature difference between summer and winter, moreover there can even be a subtropical touch. This is why Torrox proudly boasts the “best climate in Europe”.

Like many coastal villages, Torrox’s primitive nucleus is four kilometres from the hore with coastal districts mostly dedicated today to tourism: Torrox Costa, El Morche and Peñoncillo.
